Oscar Wilde wrote The Decay of Lying in 1891. There he mentions that “Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.” He wrote this before sociology was a thing and psychology was a discipline. That’s quite profound, to say the least. In simple terms, what is “created” is what we use to “create” the world around us. Fashion choices, catchphrases, role playing, music choices, etc. These created items “paint” and “create” the world around us which in turn makes it exist. In even simpler terms, imagine the infamous Coca-Cola logo. World renowned, artistically created into existence. A staple of culture and the simple act of drinking. This makes walking around the world a much more captivating experience. It also makes you wonder why the arts dont get more funding and assistance around the world via governments or states. I wont get into “AI art” here, that’s another topic for another day. Sometimes you will come across experiences in life that are so surreal, like my fotos above. What a surreal moment. This train was painted months ago, its still running and then, it’s the train I need to board and I have the physical inspiration of the exact painting standing RIGHT IN FRONT of the medium. I had to stop and laugh and snap a foto, naturally. These are the moments we should cherish and realize they connect us all.
Look at everything through an artistic lens. Think of the design, creation and operation of whatever you see around you. Question it and ponder. Be curious of why it is that way. By all means and to end this with a note…Never.Stop.Creating.
