We covered following your own path. Small changes here and there can do a lot of good for you. Happiness is not a final destination, it is a journey that must have replenishment stops (ravitaillement). Sometimes (or always) maintenance is required. You break yourself down a bit, rebuild yourself back up stronger. Check in with yourself. How many kilometers/miles does the brain have? Write some shit out, draw some shit out, do some sports. You gotta rearrange and build your “mental trainset” back up too, bro/sis. Priorities change, things that have been put off until later is now front and center. You gotta couple the train cars back up together and they wont always be the same way. There are alot of factors that affect the rebuild from time to time. There are big life milestones(mijlpalen), there are small ones. Even the big and small differ from person to person. What you think is small, I think is big & vis a vis.

People, ideas and beliefs in your life will never stay the same like most other shit in life. Don’t beat yourself up about this. They are sometimes out of your control, outside your influence of things. This can be real hard at first but keep reminding yourself that “it is what it is” and “this too shall pass”. It makes the rolling of the “rolling stock” in your brain go abit smoother. There is a hump (heuvel) that helps the rolling stock of cargo (freight) reach their determined trainsets. Yes, a train is only what you call it when the full complete set is assembled….motorcar and wagons. That hump is key to getting things where it needs to be. Make sure your hump is ready to handle what rolling stock may come next. Is it a tanker car (ketelcar) with anxiety? Is it a flat car (platte car) with a bunch of BS? Is it a frigo car full of hopes and inspirations? A box car with determination to get through the next challenge? Hardest part is to “roll” with it but do your best. The point here is:
There are many different emotions and challenges to work with in life. Do your best and treat others as you would like to be treated. Be the best “train shunter”(rangeerder) you can be. Mistakes can happen but check the list twice and reduce the chances. Hang with like-minded shunters. This will help you reach your goals better, aligning with others that have the same goals or paths or ideas. You may have a day where an unforeseen “rolling stock” may get thrown into the mix and you didnt expect it….breathe, inspect, examine, take your time with finding a conclusion that best fits you and the situation. Finally, Enjoy the shunting. Enjoy the train setup. If trains dont do it for you, go ahead and change the metaphor to whatever may help you better. Be Good.
