Don’t be so nosy, don’t care so much about the business of others. I dislike social media alot but of course I’ve participated for like 10 years. In the end, why do we want to put so much on the internet for all to see? Are we that lonely? Are we that miserable? Are we in that much need to feel validated by others? That little boost is nice right? When you get the likes and the comments. The noise in your mind goes quiet for alittle bit. Its like the high you get from most things but mostly the same as gambling. You pull that arm on the slot machine and you wait for your turn to hear the music and win the jackpot. Social Media works the same really. Posting is the arm pulling. Then you watch and see how many reactions you get, how much comments you read. Its a high, and its an algorithm that works. When you dont post, you get less likes. The algorithm doesn’t reward you. When you post alot, you engage more, the algorithm spits out a pellet for you like a little lab rat spinning on his wheel, while they call you a “good boy”.

I miss the absolute anonymity of Graff. Dont meet your idols or your heroes. Boy, whoever said that one, was speaking some absolute truth. Its not for everyone….Social Media that is but I hope that most people out there still understand the beauty of keeping things to yourself and enjoying the quiet moments. Quietness is very important to me. Theres too much noise in the world. If I can control the sound around me…and in my head….it is a beautiful day. So, dont be nosy about what others are doing, dont care so much about sharing things, enjoy yourself and remember to just nod your head when you see me to greet me. Its quieter.
